Alexandra is an upperclassman at Academy of Arms in the greater Los Angeles area. Since beginning her HEMA journey, she has studied a variety of weapons, the montante becoming an immediate favorite. Inspired by the elegance—and size—of the weapon, the 5'2'' whirlwind joined a montante study group, working through the entirety of Figueyredo's "Memorial of the Practice of the Montante" with her classmates. She has since developed her own montante curriculum, hoping it will spark curiosity, enthusiasm, and continued study in her fellow HEMA-ists.
