Rebecca started HEMA in 2014 and competiting in 2015. She has competed in 17 states and two countries (three as of November 2025) outside the United States, and instructed at events such as SoCal Swordfight, IGX, AGO, Queen's Gambit, Swordsquatch and more.
She uses her past competitive experience to inforrm her Brain Games class, which she has given at SoCal Swordfight every year since 2022. She hopes to help anyone in HEMA who is interested in the competitive experience be able to enjoy it, and to make competition accessible for everyone regardless of their background.
